Moira Colleen Farrell
Founder, Owner & Facilitator
Hike & Heal Wellness, LLC.
Moira has been a professional facilitator and leadership consultant since 2010. She loves writing curriculum, nudging people on their path, live music, family, deep conversations and the Wisconsin wilderness! While working for a privately owned experiential education business, she gained skills in business management, marketing, sales, leadership and program design. Moving to Madison in 2014, she was drawn toward Eastern wellness practices, which she now weaves into her facilitation work for added insight. She completed her 200-hour Yoga Certification in June of 2016 and is experienced in implementing the practices of mindfulness and meditation, vibrational healing and Reiki to relieve stress, promote relaxation and enhance bodily functions.
Currently, Moira teaches K-2 Physical Education at Midvale Elementary School in Madison. She considers her time with the kiddos 'research,' as they influence a great deal of her work. In addition to teaching P.E., she is also responsible for teaching an additional REACH class to kindergartners on self-regulation, mindfulness and self-esteem enhancement. Fall of 2017, she took a Rainbow Kids Yoga training and fell in LOVE with the playful and fun model Rainbow Yoga promotes. This work drives her family programming.
From 2016-now, she has been engaging in a myriad of deep nature connection trainings and self-studies. She finds alignments in the 8 Shields Model written by Jon Young which highlights universal connection practices from native cultures around the world. In 2024, she completed the 8 Shields Master Class to really dive into the work. Forest Bathing from the perspective of ANFT (Association of Nature Therapy Guides and Programs) aligns with this work, and feels related to all of the pathways that got her to where she is today.
While engaging in her group leadership programs, you can expect time to play, laugh and learn. What does it really take to succeed as family member, spouse, team member, or co-worker? In terms of Moira's teaching style, you can expect direct feedback delivered with an open heart and no judgement. She makes it fun and engaging while connecting the habits and tendencies that surface to participant's daily lives. In addition, she likes to take adults back to their forgotten child-like state of mind. That time where euphoria was at its best, and imagination soared. Where forgiveness was unbiased and the view of life unscathed. Contact her for a consultation today!

A Collaborative Vision
We have no limits for where these wellness experiences happen, how they are run and who collaborates with us to make them unique. Our partners come along and enhance the personal growth of retreat members, and hopefully gain a few new clients in the process. Our vision is all about collaboration. We remove competition because we know we stand better and stronger together versus alone. We want to offer something unlike anything else that is out there in the communities we serve. We aim to offer something that is affordable, accessible and meaningful to anyone in need of personal growth and emotional healing.
Hike & Heal Wellness started as an idea to combine talents. It continues to do that today by expanding its horizons and spreading its wings to soar through the skies of light, laughter and love. Meaningless conversations become forgotten. We strive for a greater understanding of life's obstacles. We have discussions of value and substance. We are blessed to partner with gifted and talented people to enhance discussions, bringing intuitive insight and meaning into our day to day lives. The process of each wellness experience we lead helps us open up to one another. We reconnect with our inner child and shed the ego. We leave each experience feeling lifted and light - instructors too!
